Willunga Waldorf School is entering an exciting phase of planned growth. To support this expansion and strengthen the School’s leadership capacity, we are seeking a thoughtful, collaborative and highly organised leader to step into our newly created Deputy Head – School Operations role.

Grounded in the internationally recognised Steiner philosophy, Willunga Waldorf School offers a rich, holistic education from Early Childhood to Year 12. About the Role

Reporting to the Head of School and Business Manager, the Deputy Head plays a central role in ensuring the School operates with clarity, rhythm and strong organisational integrity. This role provides leadership across:

  • Daily school operations, timetabling and staffing coordination
  • Risk and compliance frameworks, including child safety, WHS and policy development
  • School events, festivals, camps and co‑curricular programs
  • IT and AV oversight in collaboration with internal staff and external providers
  • Supervision of key programs including Music, Library, International Students and After School Care
  • Executive support, meeting coordination and whole‑school communication

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing school community and to support the Head of School and Business Manager in shaping the next chapter of Willunga Waldorf School’s development.

About You

You will bring:

  • A recognised teaching qualification and experience as a classroom teacher
  • Experience in school operations, compliance or organisational leadership
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • The ability to lead with steadiness, clarity and empathy
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to child‑centred, values‑based education
  • Sound organisational and decision‑making capability
  • A reflective, open‑minded approach and willingness to engage with Steiner education
