Spain Trip

Dear Willunga Waldorf School Community,

I am thrilled to share with you all the incredible experiences our students had during our recent Spain trip. Over 15 days, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the rich culture, history, and language of this beautiful country.

The trip was filled with unforgettable highlights, including visits to iconic landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Alcazar in Sevilla, the Mezquita in Cordoba, and the Alhambra in Granada. Each of these sites provided our students with a deeper understanding of Spain’s cultural heritage.

In addition to exploring historical landmarks, we delved into the world of literature by learning about the Adventures of Don Quijote, a renowned work by Cervantes. We even had the opportunity to visit the iconic windmills and explore the historic cities of Toledo and Alcala de Henares.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting two Waldorf schools in Valencia and Madrid, where we established long-term cooperation for student exchanges. This invaluable experience will enrich our school community and provide opportunities for cultural exchange in the years to come.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pete and Luisa, who accompanied me as staff on this journey. Their support and dedication were instrumental in making this trip a success.

Overall, our Spain trip was an incredible adventure that will be cherished as a life-lasting memory by all who participated. I am already looking forward to organising our next adventure in 2026!

Warm regards, Tom Deliveyne
