The Willunga Waldorf School Parents and Friends (P&F) group meet fortnightly throughout the year in Room B. We are a friendly and welcoming group and our doors are always open for new parents to come along.
As major events draw close, such as the annual Autumn Fair, we meet weekly and enjoy meeting new parents, chatting and sharing with a cup of tea. Our relaxed meeting approach allows fellow parents to contribute as much as they are able. The P&F oversees other social and fundraising events such as the Christmas Market, Quiz Nights and Band nights.
We are responsible for the distribution of Autumn Fair proceeds in consultation with the Head of School and Business Manager. This includes offering grants to staff and school parents for items or projects that benefit the students or the school community but are not directly related to the curriculum.
We report to the governing Council via the Annual General Meeting and our finances are audited along with the school. P&F have two nominees on the governing Council.
The purpose of P&F is to provide:
- a social contact point for parents
- encourage participation in school life
- promote interaction between home and school, parents and teachers
- fund-raise
- offer funds to projects or initiatives that would benefit students, parents, the school or the environment that are not related to curriculum needs
The P&F take pride in contributing to the ongoing health of our school community.
